How Ukraine Became Part of the USSR – The Soviet–Ukrainian War (Documentary)(27:49 min)

Ukraine was right in the center of the violent chaos following the Russian Revolution 1917. After declaring independence the Ukrainian People’s Republic was invaded multiple times as the Russian Civil War, the Polish-Soviet War, the Ukrainian-Polish War and the Soviet-Ukrainian War all raged across the country.

The Communist victory in the Russian Civil War meant that the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic became a founding member of the USSR. »

Hunting And Trapping In Art And Illustration

Stalking Horse: a person or thing that is used to conceal someone’s real intentions. I heard this phrase used to describe a tactic used by Woolworths Australia, who installed a digital mirror at some self-serve check outs. They said that they were not retaining any images, and if customers don’t like it, customers were free to use the staffed check outs instead. Then it turned out they were indeed (allegedly) retaining customer images after all. More literally: the stalking horse is a screen (traditionally made in the shape of a horse) behind which a hunter may stay concealed when stalking prey.

Karl Marx at 200 – by C. J. Atkins (People’s World) 4 May 2018

Marx is back. For his 200th birthday, the socialist revolutionary’s bearded image is popping up everywhere. Books, seminars, and conferences devoted to his legacy and enduring relevance abound across the capitalist world—from Brooklyn to London to Berlin—as well as in the countries which still declare their loyalty to his communist ideals.

His hometown of Trier in Germany is due to unveil an 18-foot statue of the author of The Communist Manifesto in the city center this weekend. A gift from China, it’s the latest addition to Trier’s public collection of Marxist memorabilia. New crosswalk signals installed in March direct pedestrians to the statue; they can cross the street to view it only after a little Marx flashes green. A local winery, meanwhile, is pushing a bit of commodity fetishism with a Moselle made special for the occasion named “Das Kapital.”

But aside from Trier’s kitschy Marxist birthday bash, there are also the more serious appreciations being made of Marx as he enters his third century. In Beijing Friday, President Xi Jinping stood before a giant portrait of Marx and, surrounded by red banners, declared him “the greatest thinker in the history of mankind.”

Just last week, Xi was telling the Politburo to brush up on their ideology by re-reading the Manifesto, which is celebrating its 170th this year. With documentaries on Marx’s writings due to air all weekend on China Central Television and universities enrolling students in courses devoted to “scientific socialism,” the Marx revival initiated by Xi a few years back appears to be proceeding apace in the world’s biggest country.

Thirty years ago, especially among the mainstream press, politicians, and academics, it was fashionable to shuffle Marx off the world stage. Many of his erstwhile adherents in several Communist Parties—even in the Soviet Union!—were calling it quits. It was the “end of history,” after all, and capitalism had won. Socialism was dead, never to return.

Fast forward to the present and we find ourselves still dealing with the aftermath of capitalism’s deepest and most extended crisis since the Great Depression. A whole generation in the West is growing up in a time defined by low wages, bad jobs, crushing debt, and of course the never-ending scourges of racism and sexism. In much of the developing world, war, poverty, and debilitating inequality remain the hallmarks of life.

Except for the explosion of wealth funneled to those at the top these last couple of decades, it could be argued that capitalism hasn’t really given most people much to get excited about lately. No “golden age” of 1960s-style prosperity, no promise that daughters and sons will live better than their parents. In short, the glow is off the capitalist utopia that supposedly dawned with the end of the Cold War.

Is it any wonder, then, that Marx is making a comeback? Should we really find it surprising that so many are again becoming interested in the ideas of capitalism’s greatest critic?

Even in the pages of the New York Times this week, in an article headlined “Happy Birthday, Karl Marx. You were right!”, the timelessness of Marx’s analysis was given its due:

“Social justice movements like Black Lives Matter and #MeToo owe something of an unspoken debt to Marx through their unapologetic targeting of the ‘eternal truths’ of our age. Such movements recognize, as did Marx, that the ideas that rule every society are those of its ruling class and that overturning those ideas is fundamental to true revolutionary progress.”

Granted this was an op-ed by philosophy professor Jason Barker, known for his scholarly eclecticism, but to see Marx lauded on his birthday in the Times is still a sign of, well, the times.

The current upsurge around issues of race and gender that Barker mentioned, the revulsion at economic inequality expressed by the millions who flocked to Bernie Sanders in 2016, the rebellion of teachers in red states across America…the list of examples could go on—these are all, in their own way, bits of confirmation of Marx’s science of society.

Political consciousness is on the rise among huge numbers of people. Their own experiences are pushing them into struggle alongside others, and they are gaining a greater awareness that the obstacles they come up against in life are not just individual challenges or hurdles. They are components of much bigger systems of oppression and exploitation rooted in class, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, immigration status, and more.

As Marx wrote in The Critique of Political Economy in 1859, “The mode of production of material life conditions the social, political, and intellectual life process in general.” That same mode of production—capitalism—that keeps people ideologically blinded to the reasons behind their lot in life eventually, however, reveals its functioning to people. They “become conscious,” in Marx’s words, of the contradictions in material life.

They see an economic system that is capable, through social production and cooperation, of providing a good material life for all people, but which never will because it is owned and controlled by a tiny minority. To simplify, the high position of those who don’t work depends entirely on the labor of those who do.

That is the Marx—and the Marxism—that is becoming relevant once again. The material conditions of life are prompting people to question the system, to ask why things are the way they are in our society. But knowing why things are the way they are and doing something about it are two different things. For Marx, it wasn’t just enough to analyze capitalism—it had to be changed. People had to move from awareness and single-issue protest to coordinated and planned action aimed at changing the system.

That’s the point where theory meets organization, where ideology and collective action intersect. For Marx, that intersection was the working class political party—a group that looked after not only “the immediate aims” of workers, or the movement of the present, but also prepared “the movement of the future.”

Marxism was never supposed to be about drawing up plans for refashioning society detached from material reality, simply preaching about the need to improve workers’ lives, or hatching conspiracies, despite what Marx’s detractors have long claimed.

Today, the political organizations which remain devoted, however sincerely, to that Marxist goal of linking theory and action are not what they once were. The monolithic “World Communist Movement” of the 20th century is no more. A few parties remain in power, in countries like China, Cuba, and Vietnam. Some others participate in governments in capitalist states, such as in South Africa. Most, however, are oppositional forces, scattered and disorganized to varying degrees.

But if the material conditions of life continue to revive interest in Marx’s ideas about capitalism, then surely his notions about a socialist future and his concept of the working class political party needed to get there will also have a second coming.

That would be a birthday gift I’m sure he would appreciate.

How Jewish Is the War Against Russia? – by Phil Giraldi – 12 July 2022

Let’s be honest about who is promoting it

 • 2,200 WORDS •

Five years ago, I wrote an article entitled “America’s Jews Are Driving America’s wars.” It turned out to be the most popular piece that I have ever written and I was rewarded for it by immediately being fired by the so-called American Conservative magazine, where I had been a regular and highly popular contributor for fourteen years. I opened the article with a brief description of an encounter with a supporter whom I had met shortly before at an antiwar conference. The elderly gentleman asked “Why doesn’t anyone ever speak honestly about the six-hundred-pound gorilla in the room? Nobody has mentioned Israel in this conference and we all know it’s American Jews with all their money and power who are supporting every war in the Middle East for Netanyahu? Shouldn’t we start calling them out and not letting them get away with it?”

In my article I named many of the individual Jews and Jewish groups that had been leading the charge to invade Iraq and also deal with Iran along the way. They used fake intelligence and out-and-out lies to make their case and never addressed the central issue of how those two countries actually threatened the United States or its vital interests. And when they succeeded in committing the US to the fiasco in Iraq, as far as I can determine only one honest Jew who had participated in the process, Philip Zelikow, in a moment of candor, admitted that the Iraq War, in his opinion, was fought for Israel.

There was considerable collusion between the Israeli government and the Jews in the Pentagon, White House, National Security Council and State Department in the wake of 9/11. Under President George W. Bush, Israeli Embassy staff uniquely had free access to the Pentagon office of Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, not being required to sign in or submit any security measures. It was a powerful indication of the special status that Israel enjoyed with top Jews in the Bush Administration. It should also be recalled that Doug Feith’s Office of Special Plans was the source of the false WMD information used by the Administration to justify invading Iraq, while that information was also funneled directly to Vice President Dick Cheney without any submission to possibly critical analysts by his chief of Staff “Scooter” Libby. Wolfowitz, Feith and Libby were of course Jewish as were many on their staffs and Feith’s relationship with Israel was so close that he actually partnered in a law firm that had a branch in Jerusalem. Feith also served on the board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), which is dedicated to nurturing the relationship between the US and Israel.

Currently, the top three State Department officials (Tony Blinken, Wendy Sherman and Victoria Nuland) are all Zionist Jews. The head of the Department of Homeland Security, which is hot on the trail of domestic “terrorist” dissidents, is also Jewish as is the Attorney General and the president’s chief of staff. They and their boss Joe Biden do not seem concerned that their client Ukraine is no democracy. The nation’s current government came into power after the 2014 coup engineered by President Barack Obama’s State Department at an estimated cost of $5 billion. The regime change carried out under Barack Obama was driven by State Department Russophobe Victoria Nuland with a little help from international globalist George Soros. It removed the democratically elected President Viktor Yanukovych who was, unfortunately for him, a friend of Russia.

Ukraine is reputedly both the poorest and most corrupt country in Europe, witness the Hunter Biden saga. The current President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is Jewish and claims to have holocaust victims in his family tree, is a former comedian who won election in 2019. He replaced another Jewish president Petro Poroshenko, after being heavily funded and promoted by yet another fellow Jew and Ukraine’s richest oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi, who is also an Israeli citizen and now lives in Israel.

It all sounds like deja vu all over again, particularly as many of the perpetrators are still around, like Nuland, priming the pump to go to war yet again for no reason. And they are joined by journalists like Bret Stephens at the New York Times, Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper at CNN, and also Max Boot at the Washington Post, all of whom are Jewish and can be counted on to write regular pieces both damning and demonizing Russia and its head of state Vladimir Putin, which means it is not only about the Middle East anymore. It is also about weakening and even bringing about regime change in nuclear armed Russia while also drawing some lines in the sand for likewise nuclear armed China. And I might add that playing power games with Russia is a hell of a lot more dangerous that kicking Iraq around.

To put it bluntly, many US government and media Jews hate Russia and even though they benefited substantially as a group by virtue of their preeminent role in the looting of the former Soviet Union under Boris Yeltsin and continue to be among the most prominent Russian oligarchs. Many of the oligarch billionaires, like Boris Berezovsky, self-exiled when Vladimir Putin obtained power and began to crack down on their tax avoidance and other illegal activity. Many moved to Western Europe where some bought up football teams while others went south and obtained Israeli citizenship. Their current grievances somewhat reflect their tribe’s demand for perpetual victimhood and the deference plus forgiveness of all sins that it conveys, with the self-promoted tales of persecution going back to the days of the Tsars, full of allegations about pogroms and Cossacks arriving in the night, stories that rival many of the holocaust fabrications in terms of their lack of credibility.

Many Jews, particularly younger Jews, are finding it difficult to support apartheid Israel and the constant wars being initiated and fought for no particularly credible reason by both Democratic and Republican parties when in power, which is a good thing. But Jewish power in Washington and across the US is difficult to ignore and it is precisely those Jewish groups and individuals who have been empowered through their wealth and connections who have been the most vocal leading warmongers when it has come to the Middle East and to Russia.

Interestingly, however, some pushback is developing. The Jewish peace group Tikkun has recently published a devastating article by Jeffrey Sachs on the Jews who have been agitating for war. It is entitled “Ukraine Is the Latest Neocon Disaster” and describes how “The war in Ukraine is the culmination of a 30-year project of the American neoconservative movement. The Biden Administration is packed with the same neocons who championed the US wars of choice in Serbia (1999), Afghanistan (2001), Iraq (2003), Syria (2011), Libya (2011), and who did so much to provoke Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The neocon track record is one of unmitigated disaster, yet Biden has staffed his team with neocons. As a result, Biden is steering Ukraine, the US, and the European Union towards yet another geopolitical debacle…”

Tikkun explains how “The neocon movement emerged in the 1970s around a group of public intellectuals, several of whom were influenced by University of Chicago political scientist Leo Strauss and Yale University classicist Donald Kagan. Neocon leaders included Norman Podhoretz, Irving Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, Robert Kagan (son of Donald), Frederick Kagan (son of Donald), Victoria Nuland (wife of Robert), Elliott Abrams, and Kimberley Allen Kagan (wife of Frederick).” It might be added that Kimberley Kagan heads the Institute for the Study of War, which is often cited in media coverage and even in Congress to explain why we must fight Russia.

It has long been recognized by many that a particular antipathy directed against Russia permeates the so-called neoconservative world view. The neocons are hugely overrepresented at the top levels of government and, as noted above, a number of them are running the State Department while also holding high level positions elsewhere in the Biden Administration as well as in the foreign policy think tanks, including Richard Haass at the influential Council on Foreign Relations. Likewise, the intensely Russophobic US and Western media, foundations and social networking sites are disproportionately Jewish in their ownership and staffing.

And beyond that, Ukraine is to a certain extent a very Jewish-identified place. The Jewish media in the US and elsewhere has been showering Zelensky with praise, referring to him as a genuine “Jewish hero,” a modern Maccabee resisting oppression, a David versus Goliath. T-shirts bearing his image are being sold that read “Resisting tyrants since Pharaoh” while the largely Orthodox Jewish community in New York City has already been raising millions of dollars for Ukrainian aid.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports that a “2020 demographic survey estimated that besides a ‘core’ population of 43,000 Jews, around 200,000 Ukrainians are technically eligible for Israeli citizenship, meaning that they have identifiable Jewish ancestry. The European Jewish Congress says that number could be as high as 400,000.” If that is true, it is one of the largest Jewish communities in the world and it includes at least 8,000 Israelis, many of whom have returned to Israel.

As US-Russian negotiations leading up the current fighting were clearly designed to fail by the Biden Administration, one therefore has to wonder if this war against Russia is largely a product of a long enduring ethno-religious hatred coupled with a belief in the necessity for a strong American military applied as needed to dominate the world and thereby protect Israel. The neocons are most visible, but equally toxic are the Jews who would prefer to describe themselves as neoliberals or liberal interventionists, that is liberals who promote a strong, assertive American leadership role to support the basically phony catchwords “democracy” and “freedom.” Both neocons and neoliberals inevitably support the same policies so they have both ends of the political spectrum covered, particularly concerning the Middle East and against Russia. They currently dominate the foreign policy thinking of both major political parties as well as exercising control over media and entertainment industry coverage of the issues that concern them, largely leaving the American public with only their viewpoint to consider.

There is plenty of other evidence that prominent Jews both inside and outside the Administration have been stirring things up against Russia with considerable success as President Biden has now declared insanely that his Administration is engaged in “a great battle for freedom. A battle between democracy and autocracy. Between liberty and repression.” He has confirmed that the US is in Ukraine’s war against Russia until we “win.” How else does one explain the ridiculous trip by Attorney General Merrick Garland to Kiev in late June to help set up a war crimes investigation directed against Russia?

As Garland is supposed to be the US Attorney General, it might first be useful to investigate crimes relating to the United States. He might start with American war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan or Israeli war crimes using Washington provided weapons in Lebanon and Syria, not to mention the human rights violations using those same weapons that occur on a daily basis directed against the Palestinians. Some conservatives are also wondering why the Attorney General spends his time pursuing “white supremacists” and has failed to investigate the rioting, looting and killing that rocked the nation in the BLM Summer of 2020.

Nevertheless, an undeterred and fearless Garland announced while in Kiev that Eli Rosenbaum, Jewish of course, and a 36-year veteran of the Justice Department who previously served as the director of the Office of Special Investigations, which was primarily responsible for identifying, denaturalizing and deporting Nazi war criminals, will lead a War Crimes Accountability team made up of DOJ experts in investigating Russian human-rights abuses. After the obligatory photo op sucking up to Zelensky, the diminutive but steely eyed Attorney General declared that “There is no hiding place for war criminals. The US Justice Department will pursue every avenue of accountability for those who commit war crimes and other atrocities in Ukraine. Working alongside our domestic and international partners, the Justice Department will be relentless in our efforts to hold accountable every person complicit in the commission of war crimes, torture and other grave violations during the unprovoked conflict in Ukraine.” And if any further evidence required to demonstrate the Jewishness of that week in Kiev, actor Ben Stiller, also a Jew, visited Zelensky and gave him a big hug.

If Eli Rosenbaum is still seriously interested in finding Nazis he will find many more of them in Ukraine than within the Russian Army. So, one has to ask “Whose war is it and who is making it happen?” Can you please explain Joe Biden? Or, given your perpetual blank look, should I ask Merrick Garland or Tony Blinken or maybe even Victoria Nuland?

Nuclear Bombing of Japan Was Faked – 12 July 2022

Illuminati Hoax? Nuclear Bombs Do Not Exist

Hiroshima-aftermath.jpg

Hiroshima aftermath- Disclaimer: I reserve judgment

“Ten countries in total have claimed to have nuclear weapons, and this is actually the scary part of the hoax, showing how major world governments collude.”

by Brabantian
(henrymakow.com)

Quite seriously, nuclear weapons have never existed. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were only two more horrible urban napalm fire-bombings, less devastating in fact than the one that hit Tokyo five months earlier – but re-packaged with a fake story of a ‘new awesome weapon’. August 6 and 9, 1945 began the biggest hoax in history, helping oligarchs steal trillions from hapless taxpayers. Before detailing how Hiroshima was a fraud, consider that the mushroom cloud we associate with ‘nuclear blasts’, is an ordinary result of chemical explosions, as you see in the above photos of when factories explode.

The old ‘nuclear explosion’ photos and films are often obviously fake when examined now with modern tools, mixing a chemical explosion image with a background. The devastation you see in Hiroshima and Nagasaki – where indeed tens and hundreds of thousands died or were horrifically maimed – is exactly like in Tokyo or other Japanese firebombed cities, because houses were mostly wood. Swedish engineer Anders Bjorkman, born 1946, has worked to expose the nuclear weapons hoax for years, arguing they are technically impossible. Bjorkman’s website.

NAPALM

US and WW2 allies began chemical napalm attacks in July 1944 on Tinian Island but soon escalated to destroying entire cities, with the biggest killing over 100,000 and destroying 41 square kilometers of Tokyo on the night of 9-10 March 1945.

main-qimg-3a443d6a58d17fb4dfc208ae8debfe00.jpeg

The horror of that Tokyo night, which seemed to make a great city just evaporate, emboldened the USA to pull off the nuclear weapons hoax, first with the 16 July 1945 ‘Trinity nuclear test explosion’ and then the August 6 and 9 respective fire bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Alexander de Seversky (1894-1974), in youth an ace pilot for Russia’s Tsarist Navy, emigrated to the US and became involved in military aviation there. He visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki shortly after the ‘nuke blasts’, talking to witnesses, and in a Reader’s Digest article in February 1946 –

let on between the lines that the ‘nuclear weapons’ were fake. He avoided saying so directly, but pointed out that, “To my surprise, Hiroshima looked exactly like all the other burned-out cities in Japan.” Directly under ground zero, Seversky saw “buildings structurally intact, topped by undamaged flag poles, lightning rods, railings, signs, and other comparatively fragile objects …  I could find no traces of unusual phenomena … It simply is not true that matter was vapourised … tree trunks and walls with growing vines disprove the claims of superheat … it was fire, just fire, that took such high toll of life.”  http://www.heiwaco.com/bomb1.htm

German Jesuit Rev. John Siemens, an eye-witness in Hiroshima, documented local witnesses reporting multiple planes spreading incendiary material, the classical firebombing. Japanese survivor stories confirm as well that it was firebombing horror. However officially, Japan goes along with the nuke bomb hoax, as they must. The smoking gun came a few years ago, when WW2 air combat logs were exposed, showing that on Hiroshima bombing day, a USA 66-aeroplane fleet – a typical size for urban napalm firebombing – was sent out to ‘bomb Imabari Japan’ that day. But tiny Imabari no longer existed, wiped out in two previous firebombing raids on 26 April and 8 May. This log entry covered for the bombing fleet hitting Hiroshima about 55km away, a target which was not to be disclosed under penalty of death.

1990 medical study of Hiroshima-Nagasaki survivors and their descendants, found no noticeable genetic damage or cancer increases, etc., of the type we are led to expect from ‘devastating nuclear bomb radiation’. Illustrating how ridiculous ‘nuclear weapons’ became, here is an early 1960s video, of the US President’s brother Robert Kennedy, viewing a ‘nuclear weapons’ blast whilst sitting a short distance downrange in a folding chair, watching detonation of the small 30kg or so ‘nuclear bomb in an artillery shell’, the ‘Davy Crockett’Ten countries in total have claimed to have nuclear weapons, and this is actually the scary part of the hoax, showing how major world governments collude. First to join was Stalin’s Soviet Union, secretly propped up by the profit-seeking US military machine, which, as Antony Sutton exposed long ago, wished to have ‘The Best Enemy Money Can Buy’.

Here, briefly, the history of ‘nuclear weapons’ hoaxes:

1945 – USA HAS NUCLEAR BOMBS

1949 – COMMUNIST RUSSIA HAS THE BOMB, Soviet elites got permanent rewards for playing along

1952 – UK Brits & City of London don’t want to be 2nd class – UK HAS THE BOMB

1960 – France chafes not to be 2nd class to Brits – FRANCE & DE GAULLE HAVE THE BOMB

1964 – China upgraded to major league – COMMUNIST CHINA HAS THE BOMB

1966 – Israel joins the club in time to blackmail Arabs in

1967 & 1973 wars – THE JEWISH STATE HAVE THE BOMB & ARE READY TO SAMSON OPTION EVERYBODY – The ‘Sampson Option’ is an Israeli plan to nuke every capital city of every country they can reach if Israel is being overrun. In other words Israel will kill as many people as it can and hope to destroy the world. Friend, enemy, kill all.

1974 – India even gives joke name to its bomb program, ‘Smiling Buddha’ – INDIA HAS THE BOMB

1979 – South Africa’s white apartheid gov gets to play – WHITE RACIST SOUTH AFRICA HAS THE BOMB READY TO KILL BLACK PEOPLE … but ‘dismantles bombs’ before Mandela & black government can find out the scam

1998 – Pakistan becomes a player – PAKISTANI MUSLIMS HAVE THE BOMB & TERRORISTS MIGHT GET AHOLD OF IT

2006 – North Korea, always making deals, gets to upgrade – CRAZY NORTH KOREA HAS THE BOMB

As the New World Order looms, they have begun to wind down the hoax, the UN already working to ‘abolish all nuclear weapons’ … The Pope will likely be in Jerusalem, smiling with pride about helping to eliminate, what never existed.

CONCLUSION

Certainly, nuclear power is real, as well as dangers of radioactive poisoning, etc, from things such as the ‘depleted uranium’ tank-piercing weapons made with by-products of nuclear fuel production. Nuclear ‘testing’ can be some combination of conventional explosives, chemicals, and nuclear fuel material, making craters and the boom recorded by seismographs.

wheel.jpg

It’s unclear how much nuclear hardware is real, such as ICBM missiles, or the ‘bombs’ on carts you see soldiers wheeling around in photos such as this one – are these out-of-shape people really soldiers, or just actors? Tough women handling these heavy bombs! Supposedly the USA has made over 70,000 nuclear weapons, with less than 15% of them still existing – how they were ‘dismantled’, is another foggy ‘secret’.

The terror of nuclear weapons achieved many ends. Trillions of taxpayer funds diverted in 10 ‘nuclear weapons’ nations, straight into pockets of arms profiteers and their political friends. Stoking ‘strategy of tension’ fright of foreign ‘enemies’ who can supposedly kill your entire society and the whole world, and this well before ‘climate change’.

Nuclear weapons fear was created, just as much of the Western world walked away from Christianity after WW2. With people no longer fearing ‘eternal hell’, alleged ‘science’ supplied this new fear of total destruction and horror to serve as a psychological control tool. A perfect oligarch game.

First Comment from Michael

Thanks for publishing the article by Brabantian on the nuclear weapons swindle. It makes many valid points, but it does miss some important parts of the picture.

A key element, which I have researched in some detail over the last 18 months, is the use of not merely napalm (as well as conventional explosives) in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but also of poison gas. There are many direct references to it in eyewitness reports, including by Wilfred Burchett, the first Western journalist to enter Hiroshima:

The book “Children of Hiroshima”

https://archive.org/details/childrenofhirosh0000unse_y3g5

collects the statements of 102 eyewitnesses who experienced the bombing as schoolchildren. Out of this number, 13 contain explicit references to poison gas, several invoking it directly as the cause of death of some relative.

I am an MD by training and have looked into the scientific and medical literature on this question for the last 18 months. I have collected abundant and clear evidence to prove that

1. only small amounts of radioactivity, most likely reactor waste, were released in both cities

2. there are numerous cases of “radiation sickness” as well as long-term effects such as cancer and leukemia among survivors that would be expected of radiation; however, their distribution cannot be reconciled with the story of the bombs, because

a) a number of people exposed to “theoretically lethal radiation” were unharmed. This is acknowledged in a report by Oughterson and Warren, two medical experts from Princeton (Yale?) and Harvard, respectively, who published a lengthy study on the subject. In it, we find this quote:

“It is … difficult to explain the complete absence of radiation effects in … people who were theoretically exposed to lethal dosages of radiation.

It isn’t just “difficult”, it is strictly impossible.

b) lethal radiation was supposed to have been released only during the detonations; nevertheless, a number of people who entered the cities only afterward contracted “radiation sickness”, in some cases with fatal outcome.

3. All medical observations, as far as they can be ascertained from the somewhat sparse literature, can be explained with the use of mustard gas (as well as napalm). The US had indeed stockpiles of M47 bombs filled with mustard gas. This also fits with direct observations by Burchett (see above) and others.

1565 – Les songes drolatiques de Pantagruel (The Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel)

(cont. https://archive.ph/VhHUI)

Les songes drolatiques de Pantagruel (The Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel) is a woodcut picture book published in 1565 by French illustrator Richard Breton. While Breton released the book, he did not illustrate it. Its original illustrator is unknown, but is speculated to be engraver François Desprez.

Published roughly a decade after the death of François Rabelais, a prominent writer and humanist in France, Les songes drolatiques was attributed to Rabelais by its publisher. Its title refers to the title character of Rabelais’ most famous work, Pantagruel, and Breton claims in the preface that the pictures represent the last works of Rabelais before he died.[1] The word “drolatic” is an archaic term coming from French “drolatique”, meaning “humorous” or “amusing”. In the title it functions as an adjective for “dream”, suggesting that the images were supposed to have been taken from the dreams of the giant Pantagruel.[2]

Les songes drolatiques consists of 120 woodcut images of monstrous creatures dressed in contemporary clothing in fantastical situations. The style of the woodcuts is reflective of the bizarre style of previous artists such as Bruegel the Elder or Hieronymus Bosch. Beyond Breton’s preface, there is no text in the book; each page is taken up solely by a single woodcut image.[1] This separates them from the works of Bruegel or Bosch, as well as the fact that the character of the images is focused on the dress and appearance of the figures, rather than their behavior or interactions with one another.[3]

Impact

The picture book was met with positive reception, and played an important role in introducing the works of Rabelais to England. Les songes drolatiques were referenced in English masques, or plays, but the book was already known before it was incorporated into the masques. Edward Dyer was the first to explicitly mention Les songes in his book The prayse of nothing, and the first masque to include a reference to the images was Ben Jonson’s Vision of Delight in 1617.[3]

Reproductions

In 1869, Les songes drolatiques was reproduced and reprinted by Louis Perrin of Lyon. The new edition included an introduction by Perrin which discussed the symbolism and meaning of the images in the book.[1]

Salvador Dali was also inspired by the woodcuts, producing a series of 23 lithographs in 1973 which also bore the name Les songes drolatiques de Pantagruel. Each numbered with Roman numerals, the lithographs were printed in black on thin Japan paper.[4]

What Liberals Get Wrong About The Second Amendment – by Ann Coulter – 6 July 2022

Must we really respond to the “musket” argument again?

Apparently so. It’s all the rage among Democrats right now.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (Democrat) and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (Democrat) both think it’s quite brilliant to claim that, if we care what the framers of the Constitution meant, then the Second Amendment applies only to “muskets”!

In the New York Times, a couple of professors (Democrats, but you knew that) asked: “Is a modern AR-15-style rifle relevantly similar to a Colonial musket? In what ways?” They liked their argument so much, the op-ed was titled, “A Supreme Court Head-Scratcher: Is a Colonial Musket ‘Analogous’ to an AR-15?”

[Frantically waving my hand]: Yes, professors, it’s exactly analogous.

The Second Amendment does not refer to “muskets”; it refers to “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” “Bear” means to carry, so any handheld firearm carried by the military can be carried by the people. Just as the musket was once carried by our military, the AR-15 is a handheld arm (technically, the less powerful version of the automatic M-16) carried by our military today. As soon as the U.S. military goes back to muskets, then muskets it is!

But I’m not here to refute idiotic arguments. These guys may as well claim that the First Amendment protects only speech delivered in pamphlets and sermons, but nothing communicated on television, the internet, or with poster boards and Magic Markers.

The Second Amendment is nearly the only prescriptive policy in a document that liberals have been trying to pump their nutty ideas into for 50 years. Unfortunately for them, there’s nothing in the Constitution about a right to dance naked in strip clubs, contraception, gay marriage or sticking a fork in a baby’s head.

But on the right to bear arms, our Delphic framers were nearly Tolstoyian with their explosion of words: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” (An earlier draft of the amendment specifically defined “militia” as “composed of the body of the people,” but was rejected as redundant.)

In the boldest affirmation of their worldview, the framers announced our natural, God-given right to self-defense—against the government, against criminals, and against assailants the government can’t or won’t stop. Free people prepared to defend themselves are the nucleus of the republic. It’s the most beautiful thing in the whole Constitution. Here, at last, the Founding Fathers told us something specific they want us to do: Teach the boys to shoot.

The “right to bear muskets” crowd—protected by taxpayer-supported armed guards, or cordoned off from the public by phalanxes of security officers in the lobby of, for example, NBC’s television studios in Rockefeller Center, before they return to their homes in crime-free, lily-white neighborhoods—tell us to focus on the freakishly rare mass shooting.

The highest estimates of mass shootings—including by gang warfare, drive-bys, drug wars and domestic murder-suicides—put the number of deaths at under 400 per year, or approximately the same number of Americans who drown in swimming pools every year. Four hundred, out of more than 20,000 murders annually.

Which is why, despite the media’s best effort to terrify suburban moms about weirdos shooting at crowds, nearly half of Americans prefer self-reliance to the government taking away our guns and promising to protect us.

In 2020, the Year of Our Floyd, gun sales went through the roof. The previous high for gun sales was in 2016, with about 16 million guns sold. But in 2020, as BLM tore through our cities, Americans bought 22.8 million guns. The following year saw the second-highest record for gun sales, at 19.9 million purchases.

By now, 44% of Americans report living in a gun-owning household. Thirty-two percent say they personally own a gun.

As much as I’d like to institutionalize the crazies—for their sake, as well as ours—the risks from bad faith actors at present are too high. With anti-gun zealots on the rampage and the U.S. attorney general siccing the FBI on parents who complain at local school board meetings, the most likely result would be marijuana-crazed schizophrenics continuing about their days unmolested, while gun owners get locked up.

In any event, it appears that the lunatics aren’t heavily armed, anyway. Here’s a demographic breakdown of gun ownership in 2022, according to Gallup:

Republicans 50%

Democrats 18%

    **   **   **

Conservatives 45% (Oddly, Gallup calls them “self-identified conservatives,” as if Gallup would never use this cruel epithet without consent of the accused.)

Liberals 15%

    **   **   **

Men 45%

Women 19%

    **   **   **

Southerners 40%

Eastern residents 21%

Gallup left out one category. The subgroup most likely to own a whole buttload of guns, but not admit it: gang members and other recidivist felons protected by George Gascon and other Soros D.A.s.

Being a rational people, Americans are more worried about those guys than the random rifle-bearing psycho in a woman’s dress.

Expand use of nuclear power for world energy needs – by Brian Williams (The Militant) 11 July 2022

Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant, Plymouth, Massachusetts

For all their pious talk about the climate crisis and the need to end the use of fossil fuels, most capitalist rulers worldwide, as well as middle-class environmental groups, oppose much-needed steps to expand the use of nuclear power. This is the one source of energy available today that can provide clean energy safely and help advance electrification across the globe. The Socialist Workers Party and its candidates fight for its development, under workers control.

Electrification is an essential precondition for modern industry and for the development of culture and political life among toilers in the semicolonial world and worldwide. It’s crucial for workers and our unions to fight for this course on a world scale, the road to narrow the gap between workers and farmers in the U.S. and EU and those in so-called developing countries — many of whose economies are distorted by exploitation and oppression from the imperialist powers — as well as between working people in urban and rural areas here at home.

Across the world, 940 million people have no access to electricity, most in South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. There are also 3 billion with no access to clean fuels for cooking, resulting in millions of premature deaths each year from indoor smoke and other air pollutants.

But the world “energy crisis,” exacerbated but not caused by Moscow’s assault on Ukraine’s independence, has pushed the U.S. capitalist ruling families, EU governments and other ruling classes to ramp up production or import of coal, oil and other pollutants. While much of the climate hysteria is overblown, working people need to fight for a road forward.

Boston MA: Quintessential False Flag – Federal Agents March The Freedom Trail – No Women, No Fatsos, No Old Guys – Astro Turf White Nationalist ‘Glowies’ – CIA? FBI? DHS? DNC? CNN? Who Knows?

………….

From the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston. Who are these masked men? All of military age, all in relatively fit shape. Dressed alike, disciplined. When was Boston ever Irish? Did the city of Boston ever have even 40% Irish? It is true that Massachusetts has the largest Irish American population of any US state. Boston has had a large Irish population in the past. But… I can’t think of any people talking about wanting to “Keep Boston Irish” ever. I live in Boston, was born in Boston, and I am ethnically Irish. I don’t think about it much in the context of this city. Who does? Where are these people from? Why aren’t there any colleens? Where are the old men? So… who is in charge of these men, and who writes their script.
